At Cambridgeshire Garden & Property Maintenance our artificial grass installation team is fully trained, qualified and recommended installers and supplier for the various artificial grass products we supply.
For longevity and correct installation, care and planning must be made in the early installation stages. We see many so called professional artificial grass installations fail due to incorrect installation.
With our artificial grass installation you can be assured that your artificial lawn is installed correctly to manufactures recommended guidelines and with a full after sales back up.
Below are the important steps that all our artificial grass installations undertake. Full and correct preparation is paramount for a lush looking lawn all year round.
Step 1 - Free Installation survey will calculate area and check lawn levels. This will allow for a full installation plan for your artificial grass.
Step 2 - Existing lawn or area is removed and excavated to minimum installation depth requirement.
Step 3 -The perimeter is edged with tanalised timber to ensure sub-base material is fully supported. Concrete haunching is used against hard landscaped surfaces where required.
Step 4 -A type 1 Sub-base is applied to area to minimum recommended installation depths.
Step 5 - The sub-base is fully compacted with a heavy duty whacker plate to avoid any ground shrinkage and to create a full solid base.
Step 6 - A layer of sharp sand is then added to manufacturers minimum recommended installation depth. The sharp sand is leveled and then compacted again with the whacker plate to ensure a smooth surface.
Step 7 - A durable heavy duty membrane is applied to the prepared area. The membrane is to stop any weed growth.
Step 8 - The artificial grass is then carefully rolled into position on the prepared area.
Step 9 - When joining artificial grass, the joints are lined up and special industrial and high strength seeming tape is applied.
Step 10 - Special adhesive is applied to the seeming tape to ensure a tight and strong bond between any joins.
Step 11 - The artificial grass is then gently folded down onto the adhesive.
Step 12 - The artificial grass is then finally secured to the fixing timbers with special fixing or adhesive sealed to concrete haunchings.
Step 13 - The end result. A beautiful artificial lawn.
